February 4, 2010 at 23:09 | In My Life Story | 1 CommentWhoa, this space has been pretty empty for the past week, and honestly, I really can’t find much time to blog nowadays; in fact for the next couple of weeks or so, or more.
Alright, enough of disclaimers, but it’s really true! Hahaha!
Ever since one of our most decorated account managers tendered his resignation mid last month, it began what turned out to be one of my busiest days in the company. That is, the handing and taking over of several key customers’ accounts. Because of the importance of these accounts, the whole process became quite tedious and stressful. Imagine having to learn about the various accounts, the history of them, as well as some of the special attentions and uniqueness of the processes and work flow. Even I felt that I’ve almost completely neglected my own existing set of accounts!
To add salt and pepper to this, I still have to attend classes on Mondays and Thursdays! And if you prefer more seasonings, our projects for both the current modules are due in three weeks! Kill me please!
I think I’ve more white hairs to my already huge collection, and I foresee more to emerge. Well, at least I’m still not pushed to the limit as yet, but I can’t guarantee the foreseeable future. Let’s just take one step at a time, and I hope I won’t be driven to the verge of a mental or/and physical breakdown.
Yes, my fingers are crossed, and mind tuned to the more positive side of things.
Olympic Blunder

A very interesting video featuring Heat number 1 of the 100m freestyle, at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics Games.
There were only three swimmers who took part in this heat, and amusingly, two of the participants false started and were disqualified. Eric Moussambani, the representative from Equatorial Guinea, became the only swimmer in the heat, finishing in a “record” time of 1 minute 52.72 seconds. The current (real) world record is 46.91 seconds, held by César Cielo of Brazil.
Watch how Moussambani swims in the heat, all alone in the Olympic-size pool, which he had never seen prior to his wildcard entry to the Games. Great job, as he splashed his way to the then national record for his country!
Breathing Space Needed
January 27, 2010 at 22:24 | In My Life Story | Leave a CommentAt times, I just wish I have some space to breathe, and perhaps even an avenue for me to scream myself silly, just so I could relieve all the stress and the heavy mind.
It’s not even the beginning of hell, but I can already feel the weight pressing down on me. Everyone’s focusing on me now, just waiting to see how I screw things up! Seriously, I think I’ll age faster, and I’m unsure how much I’ll be able to take. Who knows, the bubble will burst one of these days! Oh boy… How nice that will be right?
Bowling @OBTC
January 23, 2010 at 01:12 | In Bowling | Leave a CommentIt was such a super busy day at work yesterday that I almost found no time to even breathe! End up, I left the office at almost 7pm! Goshz!
Went down to Chevrons with Jackson at night to bowl, since we have the complimentary game coupons. Bowled a total of 5 games each, and registered a commendable 920 series (184 average). Not too bad, considering I really needed to relieve some of those stress in me. Hahaha! What a joy! =)
“Irregardless”
January 19, 2010 at 00:01 | In Infotainment | 2 CommentsTags: Irregardless, Regardless, Standard English
This particular word has been used so widely that people tend to accept it as a standard English word. But the question here is, what does the person really want to express by using “irregardless“? He’s definitely not trying to tell me that this is an antonym of regardless, is he? Alright, if regardless is what he really wanted, so why use “irregardless” then?
Okay, maybe I’m just being picky here, but seriously, what is really the meaning of “irregardless”? I really don’t know, if you’d asked me; totally clueless! I tried to check it up in the dictionary, but it seems that it’s so classified I can’t even find it; not even under the various forms of word structure of regardless.
Historically, “irregardless” first surfaced in 1912, and since then, it has been questioned by linguists around the world. But I supposed the teachings were not as influential as many had hoped. Otherwise, it would’ve joined the dinosaurs in the world of extinction.
Before I go, I just hope someone who’s been using this word would be so kind as to explain what this word really means. Any kind souls? =P
Kukup Trip

An invitation from Thomas to nine of his colleagues was sent out not too long ago, and eight turned up for the Kukup trip that was planned for his upcoming birthday on 26 January. Thomas did the unconventional way by treating all of us to a seafood lunch in Kukup, instead of us treating him. According to him, it’s also a way of thanking us, and a form of a “farewell” lunch for him (he’s leaving the company next month). Sob sob.
Anyway, the group consisted of me, Alex, Andy, Lisa, Tess, Beth, Jenny and Min. Only Nove couldn’t make it.
Other than Min and Andy, the rest of us drove into JB on Friday night, and the boys stayed over at Thomas’, while the girls at Lisa’s place. The next morning on Saturday, Thomas went down to the customs to pick Min and Andy up. That was when our Kukup trip officially started.
We had breakfast at Lisa’s Dad’s place, and then it was a one-hour-or-so drive up to Kukup. Yeah, the place was pretty rustic, and right after lunch, we hired a boat to bring us to the Kelongs. Over there, we were introduced to some of the fish that we usually only see on our plates or never; stingray, shark, starfish, oyster, seahorse, puffer fish. Wow! I was really impressed with the selection of the exhibits.
We left Malaysia that night at about 10pm, while Lisa, Thomas and Beth stayed behind. It was indeed a great trip, and I really must thank Thomas for this treat. It’s really sad that he’ll be leaving us soon, and I’d hope it won’t happen. Guess that’s too much to ask. =(
JB Trip

Alright, I haven’t really been updating this blog for like the longest lapse, but hey, I was really darn busy can?
Over the weekends, I was in JB with Lisa, Tess and Jenny, supposedly for a movie marathon that Lisa initiated. We eventually decided to drive in on Friday night though, and slept over at her place. The next day, we then went over to the theater to book the tickets. Sadly, because of the timing or the seats, we managed to only book for two movies; The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and Bodyguards and Assassins (十月围城).
I must have wasted 122 minutes of my time, because the first show was a total crap! Okay, to be fair, maybe I didn’t really understand the plot, but please, it’s not like your average easy-to-understand movie can? I rate it one popcorn (out of five) nevertheless, I don’t care!
Bodyguards and Assassins was much better; in fact great! I rate it four popcorn, and highly recommend it! Great movie!
Oh, and during the trip, I had the chance to bowl in two of their bowling centers! Yeah! It’s not everyday that I get to experience bowling in a totally different environment you know? Hehehe…!
Well, I must say it was indeed a great trip, and this weekend, we will be going up to Kukup to celebrate in advance Thomas’ birthday. This time round, there will be more people going, so I’m sure it’s gonna be fun! I’m like so looking forward to the cheap and good seafood can? Hahahaha… Yummy!
First Day
January 5, 2010 at 20:52 | In My Life Story | Leave a CommentYesterday was our first day at work on a brand new year. It was also my first day back in school after a long break from exams for the first two modules. The current two modules that we will be studying are Financial & Management Accounting and Principles of Economics.
Both subjects are foreign to me at least, and I foresee the next 10 weeks to be hell! Hahaha… With the team projects already briefed to us, they’re gonna be a huge challenge to me. I’m hoping that we’ll pull it through with at least some decent grades.
Examinations for the two modules are scheduled in April, and I’m quite sure I’ll have a lot to work on. Fingers crossed, and mind focused. Here I go… Chiong ah!!!!
Happy New Year!
January 1, 2010 at 17:20 | In My Life Story | Leave a CommentToday is the first day of 2010, the beginning of a brand new year! Will your life in 2010 be better, or worse? I sure hope it’ll be a better one for me, and I’m praying for the best for you as well.
Traditionally, people start to set goals and resolutions for themselves, but more often than not, I hear them saying they didn’t make it (by the end of the year). Soon, they stop setting goals, and just leave it as it is. It happened to me too, yeah. Hahaha!
Oh, and you know what? The first of January is also my mummy’s birthday! Happy Birthday mum! I wish you the best of health, and thank you so much for all your dedication and hard work for the entire family. You’re definitely the pillar to our all-male household, and life in the family will never be the same without you!
Well, I just hope that everyone will be happy in 2010, and may the divine power of God and His Holy Spirits be with us this year, and many years to come!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Final Hours of 2009

With the passing of every minute, the end to 2009 gets closer and closer.
Looking at it from a positive angle, the beginning of a brand new year gets closer too! What a year 2009 had been!
For most, it wasn’t really the best of years, no thanks to the economic recession and the H1N1 flu pandemic amongst other major happenings.
Personally, it wasn’t entirely as bad as it seemed. I was still very much gainfully employed, earning a decent income every month. Heck, I even signed up for a diploma course at PSB Academy in August!
Career and financial wise, I’m positive of a better year in 2010. Relationship wise, I’m still as clueless as anything. Well, what more can I ask for?
As I raise my glass of champagne and bid 2009 farewell, I welcome 2010 with open arms, and pray hard for a better and more successful year ahead!
To all my dearest friends and family, I thank you for a wonderful year, and look forward to bringing all of you together with me into chapter 34 of my life… God bless you!
